JW Turner Ltd is a well-established family owned company passed from father to son, which has been operating for over 50 years. During this time we have built up a first-class reputation in the commercial building industry by successfully delivering high-quality projects. The company’s core values of quality, efficiency and dependability in all areas of the business ensure that H&S, Value & Programme remain at the forefront of every project we undertake.
The business was formed in May 1962 by John ‘Jack’ William Turner, who served as a rear gunner in the Second World War. We are proud to say we have maintained a strong belief in good workmanship and a job well done. Whatever the size of the undertaking, our whole team is aware of the responsibilities they have for excellence, safety and respect for the environment.
Above all we value the workforce we employ. Our workforce has a core of excellent tradesmen, many of whom are the sons of previous employees who completed their apprenticeships with us. As a company we continually invest in our workforce’s development and training. A team of highly motivated and well trained operatives ensures that every job we undertake is delivered to a high quality and with outstanding attention to detail.
Where we are going
JW Turner LTD has seen many changes over the last five decades, since Jack Sr, due to ill health, retired in 1974, and passed the company to his son Antony ‘Tony’ Turner. Through work ethics and some good management, the company grew extensively in the late 80’s, surviving numerous economic downturns but always staying true to the core Commercial Building sector beliefs upon which it was formed. . In 2007 the third generation of the Turner family joined the management team. Jack Jr started as trainee contracts manager following his graduation from Lancaster University, where he studied Economics and Business Management. By following the company's key values, Jack Jr has subsequently become a Director of the company and is now in place to be the third generation of Turners to lead the business.
Over the years the Turners has gone from being a one man painting concern to a modern day company specialising in conventional and traditional commercial refurbishments through to unusual and complex or intricate construction projects.
Based in Northampton, we are ideally situated to work in and around the East Midlands area.

We are very proud of our continued “Green” efforts to improve our carbon footprint and to minimise our impact on the environment. Led by Managing Director Tony Turner, our Green initiatives have now become a routine part of our daily lives by measuring our impacts on the environment and setting targets for ongoing improvements.
