Turners’ Great Apprenticeship Scheme

In 2017 Turners has taken on two young apprentices to join our team. Due to current Skill shortages Turners has taken on a Carpentry apprentice and Bricklaying apprentice. Since joining JW Turner, both apprentices have gained experience and knowledge from working along side a highly skilled team. They have had the opportunity to experience a variety of trades and gained from the experienced team around them. From this they have been able to develop their skill set and apply the knowledge they have gained from Moulton College.

The mentor scheme that Turners have also implemented has meant that the apprentices constantly have support whilst on site and assistance towards their qualifications. Turners works closely with the college to ensure that the apprentices have the best possible experience.

As a company Turners is also a leading member of the ‘NCTG’ (Northamptonshire Construction Training Group Ltd), which promotes training and development within the Northamptonshire area. The group is also used as a information hub where key issues are raised for the area, such as the apprenticeship levy.
